Builder Benefits:
Builders who enroll in Green Built Texas will receive the following benefits in 2010:
- Discounted admission to all Green Vine Lectures.
- Company listing on the Green Built Texas website.
- Exclusive access to marketing and technical support materials distributed by the HBA as well as green building support from the National Association of Home Builders.
- Opportunities to meet with green building product suppliers and participate in future “green built” home tours and consumer fairs.
Builders enrolled in the program who sign a Builder Agreement with a GBT Verifier are eligible to register homes built to the Construction Protocol. These builders will enjoy the following additional benefits.
- Ability to market themselves as active participants in the GBT program.
- Use of the GBT logo with regard to their homes that follow the Protocol and verification process.
- Listing of GBT homes on the program’s interactive online home registry and ability to enhance these listings by indicating homes that are for sale and adding photos. Builder will also have a web address dedicated exclusively to their GBT home listings.
- Access to official GBT Certificates of Registration, which can be presented to buyers at closing.
Associate Benefits:
Associate membership is important to Green Built Texas and its participating builders. The continued success of the program will be due, in large part, to the involvement of product and service suppliers who show leadership in the program and commitment to the concept of green building. Associate members will play an important role in guiding the program with technical and product expertise.
